A system for spatial hearing with headphones which is based on Binaural Room Synthesis (BRS). The BRS- Software was developed by the Institute for Broadcasting-Technology (IRT) in Munich.
The EMT Phoenix 5.1 BRS System allows the Surround Sound- playback via Stereo-Headphones in professional quality.
Depending on the Headtracking- Data of the headphone, the high-quality Room-impulse responses, measured in a high-quality 5.1-Ascultation-Studio, are folded together with dry tone-signals.
The resulting Headphone signals allow the correct spatial localization of the sound source, regardless of the head pose.
The virtual ascultation-room reproduced in this way ensures the perfect Sorround Sound-Playback experience also under disadvantageous conditions of listening.This product is not available anymore
